Alicia Hervey, Founder and Head of School
Ms. Alicia Hervey is a native of Indianapolis and attended Indianapolis Public Schools until eighth grade when her family moved to Marion, Indiana.
An experienced leader who has served 27 years as an educator in schools across the country and in Italy, Ms. Hervey is excited to embark on the journey of helping to influence the life trajectory of the children she serves. When asked why the PATH model, Ms. Hervey said, “I designed the school I needed as a child. I always liked learning, but I got to a point where I didn’t like school. I didn’t feel connected. I couldn’t see how what I was learning related to who I was or who I wanted to be. I needed The PATH School, and when I share our model with folks, I realize that I’m not alone.”
Ms. Hervey is a graduate of Marion High School, Tuskegee University and Columbia University. She was a National Board Certified English teacher, and she is the proud mom of one daughter, Kennedy Hervey, who is currently serving in the United States Navy. When she’s not serving in schools, Ms. Hervey can be found in her favorite boxing class or curled up with a good book.
